Separated Instruments - Case 1

Separated instruments are always a challenge. Sometimes even more than one are present. We have a chance if they are in a straight part of the canal. Obviously the more coronal, the better. We need the microscope and some luck always helps.
They need to be visible through the microscope as seen here. Ultrasonics will often loosen them and hand files may bypass them and be very helpful.
With luck, and a lot of time, all is removed and sealed to the apex. The problem in thin roots is that even though we don't intend to enlarge the canal, it is inevitable, and there is a high risk of stripping through the side wall of the root, as there is very little wall thickness to start with.
